Circus for protocols
Circus is a rewards program for DeFi on Solana. Players do the swaps and packs they would do anyway, through Circus, and earn points and chances in on-chain prize pots. Partner protocols fund those pots with part of the revenue Circus users bring them.
The model
- Revenue share funds the pots. A partner shares part of the revenue that Circus users generate on its protocol; that share becomes the prize pots.
- Points and chances for your users. Every action on your protocol through Circus earns your users points and chances in the next show, at no cost to them, with a free chance every show for anyone.
- A fee per activated wallet, secondary. A partner tent that brings new wallets can also pay per activated wallet; it is a secondary line, not the core of the model.
How the share reaches the pots
- A player swaps or opens a pack through Circus, on the partner's protocol, and signs the transaction in their own wallet.
- Each credited action is recorded with its signature, so the activity Circus brought to the partner can be counted on-chain.
- The partner's share of the revenue from that activity is paid to Circus, and the operator funds that show's prize pot with it in one sum before the show closes: pots hold partner revenue only, never from players.
- The show is drawn on Solana with ORAO VRF. Every pot, draw and payout is public on the transparency page.
Where this stands
This is a proposed model, not signed with any protocol yet. The share, any Circus fee and the per-wallet fee are to be agreed with each partner. Today Circus runs as a devnet beta with test tokens; a mainnet pilot follows an independent audit and a legal review, and measures volume per user before any agreement is priced.
